Out of a page filled with words - a newspaper clipping, a printed lyric, a forgotten paragraph - I let a new voice emerge.
By selecting just a few words and blacking out the rest, a hidden poem reveals itself. A new story rises from the ashes of the old.
The magic lies in the constraint:
I don’t change word order. I don’t borrow letters. I use only what’s already there — as if the poem was always waiting to be found.
I don’t tear pages from books. I print the texts I work with, often song lyrics that resonate with me.
These blackout pieces are little acts of transformation.
I make them because I love to create - not for sale, just for the joy of turning silence into song.
